City Stripes

I've been back and forth so much between Milwaukee and Chicago in the last few months and this past weekend was one of the firsts that I had no obligations in another city! I finally got a chance to scope out some restaurants and coffee shops in my area. Here's a fun fact and a nerdy Katelyn moment for you guys, I recently learned that Authenticity and Exploration are the two driving processes of my personality type (from the Personality Hackers podcast). When I'm tuned into these processes I'm in my flow state, feeling the most alive and creative. I think that explains why every free moment I have is spent finding a change of scenery :) I love walking around the parks near my new place and of course the Lincoln Park Zoo because it's freeeee (insert praising hands emoji). Here are the other places I've checked out and enjoyed in my free time this month:

COFFEE

La Colombe (ideal workspace)

Intelligentsia (pictured)

Heritage Bicycles (beautiful interiors and nice outdoor seating area)

...will have a more organized post of chi-town places someday

MEALS

Revival Food Hall (perfect lunch spot when you're with a group of people who all want different cuisine)

Girl and the Goat (worth every penny)

Oven Grinder PIzza Co. (order the classic pizza pot-pie)

DESSERTS

Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams (just amazing, splendid indeed)

Aha Crepe (fun rolled ice cream and yummy toppings)

Bombobar (not worth a long wait if there is one, but fun for the novelty of it)

Maybe one of these days I'll create a more organized guide of fun Chicago spots, but this will have to do for now :)
