90's Baby
TEE | JEANS | SNEAKS | BACKPACK
A few months into Chicago living and it's funny to think how nervous I was the first time getting on the train. I feel like I'm navigating the 'L' like a pro now, but there's still a lifetime's worth of city to be discovered. The other day someone on the street asked me how to get to a restaurant and when I couldn't give them the exact directions (I just knew I'd driven by the place before), I was disappointed because I wanted to help, but also kind of excited by it because it means I still have much to learn!
Things that are constants when I'm running around CHI are always having a large bag or backpack with me and a change of shoes. I've found that no matter how comfortable my trendier shoes are, they are not made for walking and inevitably end up killing my feet after a few blocks. My trusty Adidas or Converse are really the only way to go! So this outfit that I wore a few weeks ago is a pretty great depiction of what I wear most days. It's kind of funny how I didn't even notice until after my friend Gabbie sent me these photos how NINETIES this look is! Washed high-rise denim, white sneaks, and a classic Kipling backpack making this ensemble all that and a bag of chips ;P
