Whenever August rolls around my summertime sadness kicks in and it hits me that these long, blissful days are fleeting. Especially this summer where, for me, the first half of it I was living out of a suitcase, moving to a new state, and out of the country for awhile. I'm feeling the pressure to soak up every ounce of sunshine we have left! This past weekend my bff and I decided we needed a quality summer bestie day. We packed up some snacks and drove out to Madison to see where the day would take us. Our adventure was filled with life chats, sunflower fields, an ice cream pit-stop, and jamming to our favorite Disney songs. These are the moments I live for!
A little food for thought today: These photos were taken by my best friend who has zero photography experience, on a camera body I purchased via Craigslist, with a pre-owned lens I scored for $70, and edited by yours truly (100% self-taught). This is just a reminder that if you're a right-brained person with vision and intuition, to trust that and stop making excuses. YOU, my friend, are your own greatest resource!
