Welcome to my blog. This is where I document my adventures as a 20-something. Hope you enjoy!

I took a few weeks off from posting on the blog and Instagram to recharge around the holidays. It seems like I need this every year and maybe I should just make it an official vacay so I don’t get so frustrated when I feel myself needing a break. I realize most bloggers published about the new year about two weeks ago, but that won’t stop me from sharing how I brought 2017 to a close now. This year I put a big focus on reflecting on the year that passed. Normally I’m all excited about the change that comes with the new year and jump right in to goal setting and list making and forget to take a second to look at how far I’ve gotten in the last year. I found some great advice from Marie Forleo which lead me to asking myself the following questions about 2017:

What did I do, create, or experience in 2017 that I am really proud of?

What mistakes did I make that taught me something?

What am I willing to let go of? Projects, goals, or commitments that I am no longer aligned with? Resentments, angers, stories, embarrassments? LET GO.

The answers to these really helped me move into the new year with a fresh perspective and a nice little confidence boost when it did come time to set those goals for 2018. It's not too late to still ask yourself these questions and do a little reflecting! And I'd love to hear what practices you have for getting the new year off on the right foot!
