Here’s the thing. Almost all of my life I’ve had an awkward evening schedule, mostly due to dance. For years I had practices that lasted until 10 or 11 o’clock at night, and performances that could go even later. Almost my entire high school and college life I wouldn’t arrive home until late at night, exhausted, and ready for bed. Now that I’m about half a year out of dance retirement, I’ve realized that my bedtime skincare routine pretty much consisted of a facial wipe and nothing else (terrible I know). The combination of this realization and reading many interviews on The Everygirl in which the last question asked is always, “What advice would you give your 23 year old self?” and most of the answers having to do with the word “moisturize,” I knew it was time to get serious about my skin. After all I’m going to 24 in 19 days! (<< I’m such a child when it comes to birthdays! Hehe.)
Although I’ve had my Tourmaline Charged & Botanical Kinetics Aveda productsfor a few years now (which I swear by), I needed to start using them daily. I also picked up and tested out a few new products from Lumene that have made it into my day-to-day routine.
After washing with my Tourmaline Charged Exfoliating Cleanser, I apply the toner and moisturizer (this hasn't changed). When that's finished I now move on to my Lumene products which are a line & pore minimizer and an ultra firm elixir.
Love the beauty pearls in this product! ^
I'll admit that this is the only line & pore minimizer I've ever tried. ^
But it is so silky smooth and leaves my skin so soft in the morning! If you have a minimizer you love, let me know! I'm open to new things :)
Tank available at Woodbury Lane (only $24)
Oh don't act like you don't smile when you use your favorite cleanser! ^ Okay, I kid. Of course I'm only smiling for the blog, but in all honesty this is the only cleanser that works for my skin. I've been using it for about 2 years now and I don't recall having a breakout since!
If you have a great skincare product that you love (or a good evening routine tip), leave it in the comments! I read them all! ↓
