This past weekend was by far my favorite yet of summer. 1. Because it actually felt like summer (weather - wise) and 2. Because I was able to check a few things off of my bucket-list. On Saturday I made it out to the Madison Farmer's Market which I hadn't been to in years! We discovered and devoured some of the juiciest sweet peas in all of the land, picked up a bag of squeaky cheese curds (0ne of the best things about WI), ate a whole loaf of hot and spicy cheese bread, AND Dan bought me one of the loveliest fresh flower bouquets I ever did see! It was quite a successful trip :)
On Sunday, my ideal Summer day was brought to life. The morning was slow, the sun was hot, the pool was refreshing, the grill was sizzling, and all the while I didn't have to put on a pair of shoes once :)
As much as I'd love to be barefoot and outside 24/7, life doesn't always allow for that. This is an outfit I love to put together on a chilly summer evening (or day) when the sun isn't blazing and shoes are necessary. Maybe a rooftop party or or backyard bonfire at a friends when you'd still like to look cute and not throw on a college hoodie ;) - We've all done it! This cream sweater from Gap still works in the summertime because of it's light hue & I've paired it with other summer essentials like ankle wrap wedgesand these soft chambray - my favorite summer fabric - shorts from Woodbury Lane!
In fact there's hardly any of these particular shorts left so if you're in need of the perfect pair of chambray shorts don't hesitate to grab 'em here :)
